The Impact of A.I. on Media Literacy

Chances are, you’ve read an article or watched a video online that wasn’t created by a person, but a bot. How do you spot these bots? What are the trends in AI used in our media? And more importantly, how can we prepare students for a world where they can’t only not trust what they read, but what they see and hear?

Carrie is the founder of Digital Respons-Ability, a mission-based company training thousands of parents, students, and educators on digital citizenship. She created the Respons-Ablity Online Certification (REC) Program, which is used by the DoDEA to train their teachers on how to teach Digital Citizenship in all of their schools worldwide. She is the author of Becoming a Digital Parent with a new digital parenting book, The 3M's of Fearless Digital Parenting coming out Fall 2021. Carrie is also a mother and continuously strives to be a better digital parent.
